PicsMatcher ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and protect your information when you visit or use our platform.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Name, email address, password, and billing settings (for Photographers).
• Uploaded Event Media: Photos uploaded to the platform by photographers to deliver to event participants.
• Selfies & Facial Images: Uploaded selfies of event guests used for sorting and facial matching inside the specific event.
• Usage Information: Device details, IP addresses, browser types, and standard access logs.

3. How We Process Facial Recognition Data (Biometrics)

PicsMatcher uses AWS Rekognition to sort event galleries and match guests with their photos. This is how biometric sorting works:

• When a guest uploads a selfie, our system generates numerical coordinates (facial vectors) mapping unique facial markers.
• These vectors are securely cross-referenced against the Rekognition collection created specifically for that event.
• No permanent storage of biometrics: The calculated facial coordinate vectors are used dynamically to return matching photo IDs and are never sold, rented, or distributed to advertisers.
• Selfies and associated facial vectors are automatically scheduled for deletion once the event is closed, completed, or at the request of the user.

4. Data Storage & Security

All event photos and user assets are securely stored using cloud storage environments (AWS S3 and Backblaze B2). We employ standard industry safeguards, including HTTPS SSL transit encryption, firewall access control lists, and authorization guards to prevent unauthorized access.

5. Payment Processing

We partner with reliable payment processors (Stripe / PhonePe) for secure checkout operations. We do not store or capture raw credit card digits or transaction tokens on our database servers.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal details and photos uploaded on the Platform. If you are a guest and wish to delete your selfie registration or require your photo to be removed from an event, you can contact the event organizer (Photographer) or contact us directly at support@picsmatcher.com.

7. Changes to Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect shifts in features or legal compliance. We will publish the updated version with a revised date on this page.
